DECENT (Dee) Dee is an ex racehorse that we bought in the spring of 2008, when we went to see her we really liked her attitude as the lady sell her was pregnant so couldn't show her off as her bump was to big to ride with! so her partner who was a flat race jockey showed her off, he was nervous jumping so when he came round to jump a cross pole he gave her a massive kick and off the set off at gallop over the fence, she was very clever and managed to get her legs out of the way! but what impressed us was that when I got on her she was very laid back and when I did a little jump on her I thought she might hurry but she just trotted round the corner and popped the fence. The first summer we had Dee we just did lots of little shows and practices, finishing off with a few novice unaffiliated one day events, then through the winter had a few days hunting with the Quorn and did some indoor shows, last year Dee went well every time out at novice and intermediate pony club one day events and huntertrials. Dee did a couple of days autumn hunting last year which she thoroughly enjoyed but then unfortunately got kicked in the field so had to have a couple months off, but is now back enjoying her work and has gone brilliantly in her first few outings including going so well round the intro at Aston le Walls unnafiliated event last week.
