Posh Manhatton

Photo by kind permission of David Sellars Photography

POSH MANHATTAM - 15.2hh 5yr bay mare believed to be by Manhattan. Posh came to us on the 1st January 2008. She was bought by her previous owner to hunt as a whippers in horse but she did not really take to it. She is a very exciting prospect for the future. She has double clear in her first couple of show jump shows and also gone very well at first few events.

Thomas

THOMAS 15.1hh 20yr old bay gelding, we got Thomas on permanent loan 10 years ago as he was being very difficult for his owners. He does not like competing on his own but is brilliant at home both in the school and out on rides, what he really excels at is hunting and team chasing. Although Thomas is now 20 he really enjoyed himself out hunting last season and Margaret is looking forward to doing some huntertrials in the Autumn.

Coloreton Dane

COLORETON DANE (Dane) 16.2hh 6yr old Grey gelding by Danehill Dancer. Dane is an ex race horse who has raced on the flat and over hurdles. He belongs to Mr and Mrs Sheffield who have supported me now for many years. Dane lives at their yard, I I go to there several times a week to ride him and Paris. Dane has gone consistantly well Pre Novice in 2008 and hopefully aiming for novice towards the end of the season.

Coloreton Princess

COLORETON PRINCESS (Paris) 16hh 7yr old dark brown mare by Paris House. Paris was in training for racing but did not make the grade, she also belongs to Mr and Mrs Sheffield. Paris is very talented and went brilliantly show jumping in 2007, having qualified for the second rounds of the 1m ametuer open, British Novice, Discovery and is now jumping well at 1.05m opens and Newcomers. She has won over £350 in the last year. Paris's dressage is improving slowly but surely and has been either placed or just out of the places in all her events in 2008.

MAXIMUS VII

MAXIMUS VII (Echo)16hh 7yr old black gelding by Poetic Justice out of a TBxWelsh mare. We bought Echo in November 2006, he had done bit of dressage and some basic jumping with his previous owners, but he was very sore in his back when he came to us so only started work in January 2007. Echo has gone well eventing last year, he did three intros jumping double clear two out of three and finished the season by coming second on a very impressive score of 28 and he has so far gone really well in all of his Pre Novices in 2008. Unfortunately Echo has an injury that could rule him out for the rest of the season, we will keep you updated.

Wang Chuk

WANG CHUK (Tiffany) 16hh 5yr old Bay mare. Dutch bred by Orame. Tiffany came to us in June to bring on and sell, she is a really lovely horse with a super temperment. Tiffany has qualified for the second round British Novice 2008, Discovery 2008 winning three out of the last four Discoverys including a Scope Qualifier, she jumped double clear her first 1.05m open and has just started jumping Newcomers.

Decent

DECENT (Dee) - 15.3hh 5yr Dark Brown Thoroughbred mare. We bought Dee in April 08, she raced as a two and three year old but did not make the grade, since then she has just hacked about and done some basic schooling. She settled in at Little Garendon straight away and has a lovely attitude to everything that is being asked of her. Dee has been to a couple of training shows and been cross country schooling where she just took it all in her stride.

Flo

Flo - 16.1hh 4yr Bay Thoroughbred mare. Flo was bred for racing by the good National Hunt Stallion Alflora, she has never raced, she was bought by her joint owner with ourselves John Elliot from Doncaster Sales. She is a lovely stamp of a horse who we feel has an exciting future. We broke her at the end of last year she was then turned away over the winter and came back to Little Garendon in the Spring. She has good paces and a very natural careful jump. Flo has been to a couple of practice show jump days and gone really well. Hopefully she will be aimed at some young event horse classes at the end of July.
