Margaret gained her BHSAI having trained at the world renowned Talland School of Equitation and ten years later gained her BHSII. She set up the riding school at Little Garendon which has been very successful for over twenty five years, we were always full, never having to advertise as we had such a good reputation for teaching people not just to ride independantly but also to be able to look after the horse. We still hold the riding school licesnce and have some long standing pupils most of them having been with us for over fifteen years.
I came back to Little Garendon having been at Hartpury College gaining her National Diploma in Equine Business and Finance and her BHSPI. Since then has completed her five hundred hours and is now a BHSAI. After leaving Hartpury College Rachael went on to work for two International Event Riders, Tiny Clapham who has competed up to Olympic level and is one of the best in the world at bringing on young horses, and Bryce Newman in New Zealand who is one of their top event riders, gaining a lot of experience both riding and stable management and since being back at home she has competed upto intermediate eventing, foxhunter show jumping and hunting.
Both of us really enjoy teaching riders to get the most out of the horse/pony thier riding, whether it be so that they can enjoy hacking or competing in local shows to affiliated shows.
